    Candace Steele Flippin is executive vice president and chief communications officer from First Horizon National Corporation. Steele Flippin joined the company in January 2018 and leads the internal and external communications strategy, corporate social responsibility and corporate giving.

    Prior to joining First Horizon, she was divisional vice president of public affairs for Abbott Laboratories and previously held leadership positions at St. Jude Medical, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and Ketchum Public Relations.

    Steele Flippin is currently appointed as a research fellow at Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University where she conducts research on and writes about the different generations in the workplace.

    The Network Journal recently honored her as one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business. She serves on the board of directors of the LaGrant Foundation, Memphis River Parks Partnership, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Youth Villages.

    Steele Flippin is accredited in public relations, and has earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan, an M.B.A from Johns Hopkins University and her doctorate in management from Case Western Reserve University.
