Microsoft Money 2004 Setup Instructions
You may wish to print these instructions for easier reference.
Microsoft Money System Requirements
To use Microsoft Money 2004, you need a First Horizon Priority Checking Account, Windows 95 or higher, Microsoft Money 2004, and Internet access with a 128-bit encrypted browser.
Before you Begin
Before you can enable Microsoft Money for online access with your First Horizon
accounts, you will need the following:
- A copy of Microsoft Money 2004 already installed on your computer.
- A Username and Password for First Horizon's Banking Online.
If you already have an existing Microsoft Money 2004 file that you now wish
to set up for online services with First Horizon, back up your Microsoft
Money file and proceed to the section below entitled "Enabling or Setting
up Microsoft Money 2004 Accounts for Online Services".
Enabling or Setting Up Microsoft Money 2004 for the First Time
- When opening Microsoft Money 2004 for the first time, you will see the welcome
screen ready to direct you through the Money Setup Assistant. Click the link
at the bottom of this page that states "Skip the Setup Assistant and
Start Using Money Now."
- From the Accounts & Bills pull-down menu, select Account Setup.
Then choose Add a New Account from the menu.
- When prompted for the Financial Institution, enter "First Horizon."
- Make the appropriate selections and click Next to complete setup for the
account. (Hint: You may leave your account number and balance blank. This
information will be downloaded later. Even if you have more than one account
with First Horizon, you may select the option that you have no other accounts.
Your other accounts will download automatically when you connect.)
- Make sure the option to Go to Online Setup for First Horizon is
checked, then click Finish.
- Next to First Horizon, choose Set up online services.
- Confirm First Horizon as the financial institution, and click Next.
- Enter your User ID and Password, which is your username and
password with First Horizon Banking Online, and choose Next.
- Microsoft Money will then present to you accounts enabled for online access.
Match your newly created account to one of the downloaded accounts, and create
a new account for any downloaded account that did not previously exist in
Microsoft Money. Then click Next at the bottom of the screen.
- You will be asked how much transaction history you would like to initially
download. Make your selection, and choose Next, and Money
will download your initial transactions.
- Your accounts are now set up for online services, click Done
at the bottom of the page to start using Microsoft Money 2004 now.
Downloading Transactions into Microsoft Money 2004
- Once your online accounts are accepted into Microsoft Money, you can download
transactions. Begin by choosing Account List from the Accounts
& Bills pull-down menu.
- From the left margin menu, choose Get online statements.
- Click the Connect to All button.
- In the Connect dialog box, enter your password next to First Horizon,
and click Connect.
- Once completed, go to each of your accounts' registers to review and accept
the transactions. If you manually enter transactions to your existing register,
you will need to review these downloaded transactions to make sure they are
properly matched to transactions in your existing register.
Transferring Funds Online Using Microsoft Money 2004
- On the Accounts & Bills menu, click Account List.
- Under Financial Institutions, select First Horizon.
- Under Use online services, select Make a one-time online transfer.
- Select the "from" account, the "to" account, and enter
the amount to transfer. Online transfers must be set to today's date.
- Click the Submit Transfer button.
Setting up an Online Payee with Microsoft Money 2004
- When scheduling an Online Bill Payment (see section below), just
type in the name of the payee.
- Once you click the Submit Payment button, you will be prompted to
enter the payee's information.
Creating an Online Bill Payment with Microsoft Money 2004
- On the Accounts & Bills menu, click Account List.
- Under Financial Institutions, select First Horizon.
- Under Use online services, select Make a one-time online payment
or transfer.
- Select who to pay and from which account. The date entered should be 5 business
days before the due date (10 business days for a new payee).
- Click the Submit Payment button.

- Mortgages and Loans are not recognized online account types. You will not
be able to view these accounts as online accounts using Microsoft Money.
- If you have problems finding your financial institution. Please go to Tools
in the Microsoft Money tool bar and click on Internet Updates and Update
