Quicken 2005 Setup Instructions
You may wish to print these instructions for easier reference.
Quicken System Requirements
To use Quicken 2005, you need a First Horizon Priority Checking Account, Windows 95 or higher, Quicken 2005, and Internet access with a 128-bit encrypted browser.
Before you Begin
Before you can enable Quicken for online access with your First Horizon
accounts, you will need the following:
- A copy of Quicken 2005 already installed on your computer.
- A Username and Password for First Horizon's Banking Online.
If you already have an existing Quicken 2005 file that you now
wish to set up for online services with First Horizon, back up your Quicken
file and then skip to the section below entitled "Enabling your Existing
Quicken 2005 File for Online Services". If you are using Quicken 2005 for
the first time, proceed to the next section entitled "Setting Up Quicken
2005 for the First Time".
Setting Up Quicken 2005 for the First Time
- While connected to the Internet, open Quicken 2005.
- When opening Quicken 2005 for the first time, you are prompted
for the Quicken Guided Setup. Click through Next Step options
to personalize Quicken, set your goals, and add your accounts.
- When adding your accounts, be sure to type the name of the
Financial Institution as "First Horizon" in the Financial
Institution field. Continue by clicking "Next". You will be asked,
"How do you want to setup your First Horizon accounts?" Select
"Online" and click "Next".
- Enter your Customer ID and PIN, and click Next. Your Customer ID is the Username you created in the online enrollment and your PIN is the Password that you chose during enrollment. Quicken will connect to First Horizon and bring in all accounts that are enabled for Online Services. Here you will name your accounts. After naming your accounts, click on Next and you will see if downloads are available, click next to download your information. When your download is complete Click Done to exit the wizard.

Enabling Your New Quicken 2005 Accounts for Online Services
- Verify that First Horizon is the Financial Institution
for your First Horizon accounts.
- There is a section below the register of the account you
want to activate for transaction download, with an entry field for Customer
ID and PIN. Your Customer ID is the Username you chose during online enrollment
and your PIN is the password you chose during enrollment. After entering the
Customer ID and PIN, click on “Set up Now”.
- Quicken will then update the financial institution and bring
in your online accounts. Select the downloaded account that matches your quicken
account and click next. Quicken will display all other online account and
ask you to match them to existing quicken accounts or to add a new Quicken
account (you will be prompted to create an account name) click next. Quicken
will confirm all accounts are matched and prompt you to click “Next”
to download transactions.
- The Online Update Summary page will indicate the information
retrieved from the bank for each account. Quicken may offer you a “Go
to Register” button for requiring your attention. This will bring you
to the register screen where the transactions can be accepted. You will need
to review these downloaded transactions to make sure they are properly matched
to transactions in your existing register. When you have finished accepting
the selected downloaded transactions into your register, click “Done”.
If you have additional accounts with transactions to accept, the account will
be identified by a flag next to the account name in the Cash Flow Center located
in the upper left next to register.
- Congratulations! Your Online Setup of Quicken 2005 is complete.
Welcome to First Horizon Online!
Transferring Funds Online Using Quicken 2005
- To transfer funds from one First Horizon account to another
First Horizon account, go to the Online Center by selecting "Online
Center" from the "Online" pull-down menu.
- At the Online Center, select the "Transfer" tab.
- Select the "From" account, the "To" account,
and enter the amount to transfer. Then click "Enter."
- Click the "Update / Send..." button to send the
transfer instruction to First Horizon.
Setting up an Online Payee with Quicken 2005
- From the "Online" pull-down menu, choose "Online
Payee List".
- At the "Online Payee List" screen, click "New"
in the upper left corner.
- Enter the required fields, and select "OK."
Creating an Online Bill Payment with Quicken 2005
- From the "Online" pull-down menu, select "Online
Center".
- At the Online Center, select the "Payments" tab.
- Specify the Date, Online Payee, Amount, and the Memo (optional),
and click "Enter."
- Click the "Update / Send..." button to send the
Online Bill Pay instruction to First Horizon.

- NOTE: Beginning April 2005, Intuit will no longer support Quicken versions 98, 99, and 2000. First Horizon customers using these versions will not be able to download transactions or pay bills through Quicken. We recommend that you upgrade your software to a newer version.

- Mortgages and Loans are not recognized online account types.
You will not be able to view these accounts as online accounts using Quicken.
- Quicken software does not allow for bill payments from credit
card accounts
