During the preparation of the preliminary closing documents, there was an egregious error in our estimated monthly payment total. Instead of approximately $6000 a year for property taxes, it showed over $44,000 per year . The gross error was left in the online system even after I pointed it out to Michael, and I couldn't proceed with the online process until I accepted the document in the system as it was. I was not about to accept that document as it was, so I kept getting reminder emails to finish the process . It added unnecessary stress to the process. It was disappointing in two ways to me. Firstly, that such a large error was not caught in putting together the estimate, and secondly, that the error wasn't removed from the system after I pointed it out.
