Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer
Tanya Hart is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for First Horizon Corporation. She provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management committee, shareholders and the board of directors.
Hart oversees development and execution of human resource strategy in support of overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development and compensation.
Hart is actively involved with a variety of civic and professional institutions. Her community outreach includes her role as a board member, treasurer and chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee of the University of Memphis Foundation Board, and secretary and executive member of Brooks Museum of Art. She is a previous member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Memphis, New Memphis Institute and First 8 Memphis.
Hart’s achievements have earned her numerous accolades. She was honored as a Super Woman in Business by the Memphis Business Journal and named a Most Influential Black Executive in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine in 2022 and 2024. Additionally, she received the HR Impact Award from the Memphis Business Journal. Hart was also a member of First Horizon’s award-winning Most Powerful Women in Banking Teams as named by American Banker in 2022 and 2024.
Hart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Memphis and a Master of Business Administration degree from Christian Brothers University. In addition to her professional studies, Hart earned the Certified Financial Planner® certification and the SHRM, Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation.
