Bio

Tanya Hart is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for First Horizon Corporation. She provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management committee, shareholders and the board of directors.

Hart oversees development and execution of human resource strategy in support of overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.

Hart is actively involved with a variety of civic and professional institutions. Her community outreach includes her role as a board member and chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee of the University of Memphis Foundation Board as well as an advisory member of Christian Brothers University’s Business School, the Brooks Museum of Art and New Memphis Institute. She is a previous member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Memphis and First 8 Memphis.

Hart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Memphis and a Master of Business Administration degree from Christian Brothers University. In addition to her professional studies, Hart earned the Certified Financial Planner and the SHRM, Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designations.
