How you can qualify
Your business must be defined as a small business by the SBA and be operating for profit within the U.S. or its territories
The loan must be used for a sound business purpose
Most types of businesses are eligible. Exceptions include but are not limited to:

Revolving working capital financing is available for up to $350,000
Term of the line is 10 years, with the first 5 years being used for revolving cash needs, and the balance is termed out over the remaining 5 years

How you can qualify
Your business must be located in a rural area as defined by the USDA
Eligible ownership structures include partnerships, individuals, cooperatives
For-profit and non-profit corporations, including publicly-traded companies, tribal groups or public bodies are also included
Any size business may be eligible, but there are certain industries that may be ineligible, including but not limited to:
Golf courses
Racetracks or gambling facilities
Churches or charitable organizations
Agricultural production, with certain exceptions

Community support services such as child care centers, community centers, fairgrounds or transitional housing
Public safety services such as fire departments, police stations, prisons, police vehicles, fire trucks, public works vehicles or equipment
Educational services such as museums, libraries or private schools
Utility services such as telemedicine or distance learning equipment
Local food systems such as community gardens, food pantries, community kitchens, food banks, or greenhouses
How you can qualify
The proposed facility must provide necessary services and aid in the development of a primarily rural community
Applicant must not operate as a private, commercial business
Eligible borrowers are comprised of public bodies, community-based non-profit corporations and federally recognized tribes
Eligible areas with at least 20,000 in population, but no more 50,000, including cities, villages, townships, towns and federally recognized tribes
