While Lisa did everything possible to facilitate a smooth closing process--the technology and clerical errors in the paperwork were extremely problematic. It seems to me that the issue may be that several people all have access to a user's document portal, but no one has full, immediate access to all documents available. I uploaded a nee gift letter, based on the actual closing amount--upon request-- and it was somehow missed by whoever prepared the final closing disclosure , causing an error . Additionally, the property tax amount was provided by the title company and some other random amount was used for the final closing documents . These errors caused significant issues to my final disclosure paperwork and when I asked for them to be revised for accuracy, it took four tries in 24 hours to get the paperwork correct --only accomplished with the intervention of Lisa. Once it was correct, there was some kind of glitch in the portal that did not allow the team to upload refreshed closing documents for me to e-sign. Lisa attempted to print the documents for me to hand-sign, have them sent via regular docusign via email, and finally had the title company assign a mobile notary. While, Lisa went above and beyond to accomplish closing the loan--the entire process took a large chunk of my time for two days, caused much frustration, and delayed the closing by several hours . I would suggest having a back-up option easily accessible to the portal , have a system that automatically uploads all documents to all parties , and allows the main representative to a client to see their portal view , and to review final closing documents prior to the automatic sending to the client. In a separate issue, my husband was not part of the loan application , but did pay the down payment as a gift . It would be nice if a payment from a spouse were s slightly easier process than a gift from another source . He also consistently received messages for upload and approval that he should not have been added to , and remained receiving each message, despite my requests to remove him from the notifications . Overall, this process was riddled with errors and complications--despite Lisa's best efforts to resolve the situation. It seemed to me that she was doing everything in her power to help and was thwarted by poor systems, processes, and teammates whi who were ill trained.
